Government gives 500 rs per month to fight tuberculosis for diet is it enough
Hi my name is kaushal, a 25 year old computer science graduate guy currently jobless and survived a chronic tuberculosis disease with the help of surgery. Which I have written about it you can read it to.
As I have mentioned about I survived a chronic tuberculosis with the help of the surgery because I was later by year and it had spread in my abdomen, pancreas and right side of lungs.
Why surgery was needed ?
This question may come to anyone after hearing about tuberculosis is very common disease not a chronic one.
But in my case as I was late by years. The tuberculosis bacteria had spread deep inside my body organs. Due to which my stomach food pipe from where food goes down into small intestine was not going and I was having problems in digestion i.e mainly digestion issue, pain in abdomen and everytime it was full after passing stool also.
So there was lot of test done biopsy was also to check whether it is cancer or not and it took almost one year to find it was tuberculosis.
After the test results I was send to dots center to take my ATT TABLETS ( anti tuberculosis tablets) and was also given 500 rupees for 6 months for diet. I was happy that I would receive 500 rs per month for diet. But while returning back to hospital doctors told I have to take an high protein diet which requires daily 6 eggs, fruits, nonveg and milk.
I have to be at complete bed rest after surgery for 2 to 3 months. So can't work and earn my mom works as home maker and dad as an watchmen. So this makes the situation worst. The 500 should be atleast 3000 rs per month or alternative can be government provides diet.
My diet requires 6 eggs daily, 2 banana , 1 apple, 30 to 40 gram non veg and can't take milk so curd. Which goes around 3000 per month. Giving 500 is okay by not fulfilling the requirements.
